Walk the land. Breathe the air. Play a part.
On the outskirts of Nashville, in majestic Franklin, TN, we are creating a place where Tennessee’s rural heart meets Music City’s rambling soul — a relaxed destination where people savor experiences that celebrate culture, community, and craft.
Southall’s Chef Tyler Brown is creating a complex, distinguished farming program that is humbly reinventing the genre and paying homage to historic Franklin, Tennessee.
Scattered loosely around the property, an array of gardens, crops and orchards will anchor the farm and provide visual and culinary diversity. A hillside vineyard, butterfly garden, hilltop beehives and orchards will give our guests a window into nature’s wonderland. A chicken coop and animal paddocks will brim with opportunities to experience a working farm in full swing. Learn the craft of canning, the joys of raising animals and the beauty of bee keeping, and discover the seasonal nuances of our kitchen gardens. Taste the hidden flavors of fresh heirloom ingredients.
It’s all part of our commitment to sharing the bounty of the farm and educating future generations to appreciate the land and the culinary process.
A luxurious, rustic Southern Inn infused with modern farmhouse style — a stay at Southall is a feeling, a taste, a smell and a sense of wonder that awakens us to our surroundings. The inspiring views and tailored experiences always encourage relaxation and discovery.
Surrounded by Southern hospitality and decor that exudes comfort and quality, our guests will discover a more relaxed way to retreat. Whether you prefer to stay in our main Inn, spread out in one of our hillside cabins or simply gather in our meeting and event spaces, the attention to detail at Southall will reflect our commitment to doing things right.
Southall is an evolution of the traditional hospitality the South is known for. Our goal is to comfort, care, and teach. We will offer something for everyone, whether it’s relaxation, learning, exploration, or adventure. Our role is to guide our guests through thoughtfully curated experiences that cultivate a connection, through learning and relaxation, and an overall appreciation of nature’s gifts.
Embark on a journey of wellness, healing and discovery inspired by nature’s nurturing hands. From hand-harvested ingredients, to meditative rituals, to artful garden spaces — our serene spa is where tensions melt, minds open and transformation begins.
As you arrive, the soothing spa gardens and living walls will connect you to nature as she envelops you in a journey of wellness, healing and discovery. Whether you realize the benefits of yoga, release the mind through journaling, soak in the natural surroundings with our meditative hikes or simply sink into our relaxation lounges, steam room or sauna — the spa, like all things at Southall, will be cyclical.
Like everything we do, wellness comes through nature. As your body gets closer to the land, your mind gets closer to the experience, allowing it to learn and receive serenity.
The Southall Village will be a unique experience that reflects an earlier ideal of community. A place that caters to your daily needs and unique shopping experiences.
The Village is envisioned as a mixed-use commercial center with both office and artisan-inspired retail offerings. Sample our signature selection of homegrown favorites, including cured meats, fresh fruits and produce, and infused honeys and cheeses. Gather at our working cannery inside for interactive and educational classes on canning and jam-making. Enjoy a pre-work coffee or an after-work cocktail, and invite colleagues and clients to one of the most sought-after addresses in the region.
Relax on our porch and soak in the views of the peaceful countryside. Join Southall guests and locals in a convivial community hub inspired by craft and energized by Nashville’s creative spirit.
Southall will enhance Franklin and Williamson County as a destination, while providing employment opportunities, tax revenue, and infrastructure to the local community.
The land will be prioritized and preserved while creating luxury amenities accessible to all — the first of which will be a chef-driven, al fresco dining experience.
From sales and clerical professionals, to servers, housekeepers, landscapers and kitchen staff, Southall expects to employ approximately 250 employees. Our investment in a commercial development outside of the city limits will generate unprecedented tax revenues for Williamson County, creating new opportunities for improvements and conservation efforts throughout the rural sections of the county, while also investing in schools, roads, and citizen safety measures.
Ninety-five percent of the property will remain undeveloped or used as agricultural land, and our storm water management systems will reuse water for agricultural and landscaping irrigation. We are committed to sustainable agriculture, land stewardship, resource conservation, and community outreach efforts.
